  • Metro/RER stops near to ENS:
    The nearest RER stop is the Luxembourg stop of the RER B. (This is useful because the RER B goes to both Charles de Gaulle (=Roissy) and Orly Airports, as well as to the IHES, Orsay and Ecole Polytechnique.)
    The nearest metro stops are: "Place Monge" or "Cardinal Lemoine".

    (The ENS is number 48 and the Luxembourg RER stop is just to the east (=right) of the Luxembourg gardens, which are number 55. If in doubt, Rue d'Ulm is directly south from the Pantheon, number 51.)

  • How to find the nouvelle immeuble Rataud inside the ENS:
    Pass through the lodge at 45 rue d'Ulm and so you are facing the main building. Skirt along the right hand-side of the building you are facing (i.e. turn right and then left). At the end turn left under the large archway and the new building is then on your right.
  • How to find the organisers offices inside the ENS:
    Pass through the lodge at 45 rue d'Ulm and enter the main doors of the ENS slightly to your left. You will then be facing a square courtyard. Go to the top of the B staircase (escalier B) which is near the far right corner of the courtyard. Then follow signs to the roof "toits" (going along a short corridor and turning right before going up some more stairs). Salle W is the first door on the left and the organisers offices are in the same corridor: T2,T3,T7
  • How to find salle U/V inside the ENS:
    Once at 45 rue d'Ulm do not enter the main doors but turn right and follow the building around to the left and continue straight (with the ENS on you left and some grass on your right) until you meet some sliding glass doors. Enter these glass doors and bear slightly right and descend two flights of stairs. Salle U/V is now signposted (it is in the red corridor `Passage Rouge', niveau -2. This is below level -1, the pink corridor `Passage Saumon'.)
  • How to find salle Verdier inside the ENS:
    Enter the main door of 45 rue d'Ulm and you will be facing a square courtyard. Go to the B staircase (escalier B) which is near the far right corner of the courtyard. Salle Verdier is on this level just by staircase B (go through some doors there and it is on your left).
